This lecture focuses on Domestic Violence within the local, regional and international context. It will examine a number of international and regional conventions and guidelines relating to domestic violence, violence against women and violence against children. It will analyse the Domestic Violence Act (Chapter 481: Laws of Malta) and accompanying jurisprudence, while also highlighting recent decisions of the European Court of Human Rights.
