Course Outline
This lecture will provide a basic overview of the law on divorce in Malta. It will focus on the main grounds for marital breakdown and the legal consequences attached to the different grounds, citing local jurisprudence as practical examples. The legal repercussions of divorce will also be treated, examining the impact on the matrimonial home, maintenance, community assets, and child custody and access.

Who should attend ?
The lecture would be of interest to all professionals working with individuals or couples in marital difficulty (social workers, counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists, family therapists, mediators, members of the clergy or religious orders) as well as persons undergoing marital breakdown or supporting family or friends.

A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants who attend the session.
